Cookie Policy
Version: 1.1
Last updated: October 24, 2025
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They do things like keep the site working, remember your choices, keep you signed in, and — if you allow it — help us understand performance and improve advertising.
We also use similar technologies like pixels, which let us measure what happens after you click an ad.
2. Who sets cookies on synqc.io?
The following parties can set cookies or similar tracking technologies when you use synqc.io:
- Synqc (first-party): Keeps you signed in to the dashboard and helps prevent abuse. These are strictly necessary.
- Webflow: Hosts and serves our marketing site and handles page caching/layout. Strictly necessary.
- Cloudflare: Protects the site from bots, rate limits abuse, and mitigates DDoS. Strictly necessary.
- Meta (Facebook): The Meta Pixel measures ad conversions and helps us understand how effective our ads are. This is Marketing and requires consent in the EU/EEA.
We do not currently use Cloudflare Web Analytics or any cookie-based analytics product.
3. Which cookies do we actually use?
Below is an overview of the main cookies or equivalent identifiers we (or our providers) may use:
Strictly Necessary (always on):
user — synqc.io
Purpose: Keeps you logged in to your account/dashboard
Expiry: ~24 hours
wf_cookie (and similar Webflow runtime/cache cookies) — Webflow
Purpose: Makes the marketing site load correctly and fast
Expiry: up to 14 days
__cf_bm — Cloudflare
Purpose: Bot management / abuse protection
Expiry: ~30 minutes
cf_clearance — Cloudflare
Purpose: Remembers that you passed a CAPTCHA / challenge
Expiry: ~30 minutes
_cfuvid — Cloudflare
Purpose: Temporary rate-limiting token during high traffic
Expiry: session-only
Marketing / Advertising (only set after consent in regions where required):
_fbp — MetaPurpose: Stores a browser identifier to measure ad performance and improve targeting
Expiry: ~90 days
fr — MetaPurpose: Used by Meta for ad delivery and retargeting
Expiry: ~90 days
Meta may set additional cookies such as _fbm_* depending on whether you’re logged in to Facebook.
Note: Cloudflare Web Analytics places no cookies and is currently not active on synqc.io.
4. How we ask for (and record) your consent
When you first land on synqc.io, you’ll see a banner with options like Accept all / Reject all / Customize.
- Strictly necessary cookies load immediately. The site will not function without them.
- Analytics/Marketing cookies (like the Meta Pixel) only load if you click “Accept” or enable that category under “Customize.”
You can reopen the banner at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in our footer and change your choice.
We store your choice so we can prove consent if required (e.g. under GDPR). If you withdraw consent, we stop setting non-essential cookies going forward.
5. How to refuse or delete cookies
You have several options:
- Use our banner / Cookie Settings panel
You can turn off Marketing cookies at any time. This will stop new marketing cookies from being set.
- Delete cookies in your browser
You can clear cookies manually in your browser privacy settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.).
- Meta / Facebook settings
You can control how Meta uses data about your activity by visiting your Facebook Ad Preferences and adjusting “Off-Facebook Activity” and “Ads based on data from partners.”
- California residents (Do Not Sell or Share)
If you are a California resident, you may request that we do not “sell” or “share” your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise this, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.”
6. Retention & deletion of cookie data
We keep cookie-derived data for the shorter of:
(a) the cookie’s own expiry time (see above), or
(b) the retention limit in our Privacy Policy (currently up to 24 months in aggregated, de-identified form).
If you withdraw consent, we stop collecting new Marketing data. Previously stored data may still exist in aggregated reports (for example, campaign performance stats), but those reports are not tied back to you as an identifiable person.
7. Contact
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or want to exercise privacy rights (access, deletion, objection, “Do Not Sell or Share,” etc.), contact:
